THE RESOURCE ADVISORY SERVICES TEAM
J. David Lewis, MBA, Principal, Founder
NAPFA– Registered Financial Advisor
David left a banking career in 1985, at the age of 37, to found Resource Advisory Services, as a fiduciary financial planner, guided by National Association of Personal Financial Advisors standards. He earned a Finance Degree and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in 1970 and 1982 respectively. As a banker and financial planner, David has intentionally pursued continuing education and relationships to develop his ability for serving clients’ personal, as well as analytical, financial needs. He coined “There is more to money than money®”, which we and our clients use to recognize the connections between personal and financial issues.
R. Bryan Hankla, CFP®, Principal
NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor
Bryan joined Resource Advisory Services in 2004, soon after completing a Finance Degree from the University of Tennessee. He began serving clients right away, in collaboration with David, which has provided personal experience developing relationships that help clients and friends build and enjoy wealth. In 2006 Bryan became a Certified Financial Planner and NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor. He has pursued an exceptional series of continuing education programs, to understand fiduciary standards, personal relationships and analytical issues important to clients, while engaged in virtually all client advice and portfolio management. Bryan became a Resource Advisory Services principal and shareholder in 2012 and continues to acquire ownership.
Christie N. Lewis
Office Manager/Client Services
Christie joined Resource Advisory Services in 2004, several years after she and David married. Prior to this position Christie’s entire career was with non-profit organizations, providing services for donors and other stakeholders. Her transition to managing client services and the daily operation of our office was natural. At Resource Advisory Services, Christie oversees tasks for clients, as well as maintaining these important personal relationships and the decisions that keep the business operating efficiently and prudently. Christie is often the contact for services that make financial tasks as smooth as possible for clients.
